Gallerie d'art rue de la Visitation - Nancy - Meurthe et Moselle

Mum, where are my playmobil?

This is a nice collage in an Art gallery shop window in Nancy - East of France.
It is worth 680 €! Quite a sum for this kind of item, isn't?
I've made an estimate that the artist used around 200 playmobil little men, which means that each one of them costs around 3.5 euros.
That's a pity I gave all the playmobil belonging to my children a few years ago!
Could have sold them to the artist for a much better price;o)

Oh gosh, it's very expensive, isn't it?
Playmobil reminds me my son, he used to play with a huge gas station, it was so cool, full of beautiful details, so real, and it also helps the imagination!
I also gave that playmobil! LOL

Anyway beautiful artwork there, great shot!

bisous

Just think of all the things we discard thinking they're junk only to discover later that they are priceless. As my husband and I used to say to one another while we shopped the town markets in Europe, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." ;-)

Have a lovely weekend, ma belle amie!

Gros bisous!!!

What a fun post and terrific capture! I was thinking the same thing about all the toys like these that my kids had that I was just glad to finally be able to get rid of!! With a little talent I could have made something really neat out of them!! Hope your week is off to a great start, Ciel! Enjoy!

What I remember about playmobile is that the people were the largest pieces in a set and that there were thousands of little tiny parts to be stepped on and lost.

Not sure that I would pay that much (hah) for this art, but it is colorful... I am running off to see what I have that might be made into art.

Have a wonderful week, mon amie!
